Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Telnety ("the Software") is a desktop application for remote server management that supports SSH, RDP, VNC, SFTP, Telnet, and Serial protocols. The Software is developed and maintained by Telnety ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the Software, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

2. User Accounts

Certain features of the Software, including Cloud Sync, team collaboration, and Pro/Team subscriptions, require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your account information up to date.

You must notify us immediately at security@telnety.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized use of your account.

3. Subscription and Payments

The Community edition of Telnety is provided free of charge with limited features. Pro and Team editions require a paid subscription processed through Safepay. Subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis, depending on your chosen plan, and auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Refunds

We offer a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase if you are not satisfied with the Software. After 14 days, refunds are issued at our discretion. To request a refund, contact billing@telnety.com with your order details.

Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Any price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance via email. Existing subscriptions will remain at the current price until the next renewal after the change takes effect.

4. License Terms

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the Software on up to three (3) devices per license for your personal or business purposes. Each license is tied to a hardware fingerprint and cannot be shared across organizations without a Team subscription.

License keys are validated periodically (every 7 days when online). An offline grace period of 30 days is provided, after which the Software will require online validation to continue operating with Pro/Team features.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Software for any purpose that violates applicable law or regulation
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive the source code of the Software
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices, labels, or marks on the Software
  • Use the Software to gain unauthorized access to computer systems, networks, or data
  • Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the Software without our written authorization
  • Circumvent license validation, hardware fingerprinting, or other protection mechanisms
  • Use the Software to transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code to remote systems

6. Intellectual Property

The Software, including its code, design, documentation, trademarks, and all related intellectual property, is and remains the exclusive property of Telnety. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the Software. Feedback, suggestions, and feature requests you submit may be used by us without obligation to you.

7. Credential Storage Disclaimer

The Software provides an encrypted credential vault for storing passwords, SSH keys, certificates, and tokens. You are solely responsible for the credentials you store. We do not have access to your vault master password or the decrypted contents of your vault. If you lose your master password, we cannot recover your stored credentials. We strongly recommend maintaining secure backups of critical credentials outside the Software.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TELNETY AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SOFTWARE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Software at any time if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through the dashboard at app.telnety.com. Upon termination, your license to use Pro/Team features will cease immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including limitation of liability, intellectual property, and governing law) will remain in effect.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Lahore, Pakistan.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Software or email at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Software after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
